The south Korean government has introduced an e-standby certification system, which has been mandatory since 1999
Standby energy saving warning sign (yellow) is for the implementation of products that do not meet the standby energy saving standard. Products that do not meet the standard requirements shall be affixed with the sign. On the contrary, if they meet the standard, they shall be affixed with the energy saving sign (smile sign).
